My Clumsy Dad 2022
CHALLENGE
How can a Lego prototype be designed to test and expand creative skills? How can this design be translated into an engaging, interactive experience?
SOLUTION
Starting with a simple idea, "My Clumsy Dad" evolved into a unique personal project. Using Lego Studio 2.0, along with Figma and ProtoPie, the project brought a playful and creative concept to life. The process involved developing a Lego prototype, testing the user interface, and refining the design through A/B testing. Concept, Design & Prototype
Working on My Clumsy Dad was incredibly rewarding because it combined hands-on creativity with interactive design, blending two mediums I love. The project reminded me of the power of learning through play, a core philosophy of Lego’s brand.
Week 1 – Concept & Lego Prototype
The project began with brainstorming and building the Lego prototype using Lego Studio 2.0. The aim was to create a playful and relatable theme that would challenge creative thinking and encourage interaction.

Week 2 – Interface Design
I designed the user interface in Figma, ensuring it complemented the playful nature of the Lego build. The design focused on vibrant colours, intuitive layouts, and interactive elements to guide users through the experience.

Week 3 – Interaction Design & Testing
Using ProtoPie, I created an interactive prototype to test the digital components of the experience. A/B testing was conducted to refine the interaction flow, ensuring the concept was as engaging digitally as it was physically.
Week 3 – Refinement & Final Prototype
The project wrapped up with iterations based on user feedback, merging physical and digital elements into a cohesive and delightful experience that emphasized fun and creativity.
